SPCA Red Carpet Luxury Lounge At SLS Hotel Beverly Hills For The 2012 Emmy Awards

The Emmys are like my Academy Awards. I absolutely love television. Pre-Emmys, Secret Room Events threw their Red Carpet Luxury Lounge, benefitting the SPCA of Los Angeles, at the SLS Hotel At Beverly Hills on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, and they kindly invited me. Pictured above are all the vendors’ displays, in the background is the stunning SLS Hotel.

In keeping with the SPCA theme, many of the products on display were dog (and cat) related. Hollywood Pads, which are training pads in fun shapes and prints. Reiki For Dogs, how awesome is that, a book to help heal and vitalize your pet, which comes with a soft fleece blanket for your pooch. The folks from the Tiniest Tiger were back (originally met this crew at the Academy Awards event), this time with dog items as well as their signature cat items, these guys really know their pets, their treats drive animals wild. The World’s Best Cat Litter is here and it’s made from whole-kernel corn. Jewelry both you and your pet can wear, Shuzi isn’t just really good looking jewelry. Through Nano Vibration Technology emitting scalar energy which resonates with your body’s cellular frequency, Shuzi improves blood flow (paraphrased from their literature).

Glitzy Bella had their wares on display, an eye-catching collection of dazzling items that are as glamorous as they are practical. The Village Experience‘s Opportunity Collection‘s unique accessories are made by natives of Thailand, India, Uganda, Haiti, Guatemala, Kenya, among other places with the intention of supporting income-generating projects. Dallas Prince Designs‘ chunky, almost medieval-looking creations are sure to have you stopped and examined. Dallas is a visual artist whose paintings are as heart-stopping as her jewelry.

Naughty lingerie to go with your attention-getting jewelry are provided by Party Panty. These sexy items, for women and men, have hidden pockets for you to stash all sorts of small items, hopefully one of these is a condom. Even more unique is Erica M.‘s gorgeous hosiery. From one angle, they look like regular pantyhose, from another angle, gasp-inducing designs are revealed. The most difficult thing about these items, deciding which one to choose.

As always, the latest in skin care is touted at these events. Lynex harnessed to power of dragon fruit to assist in anti-aging, Je Beau promises mannequin-like perfection, Freeze is Botox in a bottle, Earthly Body uses hemp as the base for their emollient products, Smile Sciences turn your teeth white with a handy pen, Muscle Mist sprays away your muscle pain leaving the area feeling a calming cool, or in some cases, a healing hot. Also on hand were Lollipop Nail Studio experts offering organic manicures and Dial M For Makeup providing quick and professional touch-ups on the spot.

To keep you nourished, Nothing Bundt Cakes provided bite-size samples of their delicious pastries and  Chuao Chocolatiers offered their exquisite chocolate morsels, some covering potato chips. Wolfgang Puck kept everyone caffeinated with exotic coffees and teas, Mulderbosch brought their flavorful South African wines, and VuQo infuse vodka with coconut for an unusual premium blend.

I could get used to this kind of treatment.
