Gold Fields Black Sun (Astralwerks)

This Aussie power indie-pop quintet recorded three times ad the rehashed sound is tight and does a decent job of refining the genre. The “awoo-ohs” of “Dark Again” take the chorus to bubble gum level and the saucy beat pattern of “Moves” strongly recalls the Arctic Monkeys. This band, however, is much stronger when experienced live.
